Q195 Spiral Welded Carbon Steel Pipe

Spiral pipe, also known as spiral steel pipe or spiral welded pipe, is the low carbon structural steel or low alloy structural steel strip according to a certain Angle of the spiral line (called forming Angle) rolled into the tube blank, and then welded together, it can use a narrower strip to produce large diameter steel pipe.
Spiral pipe is mainly used for oil and natural gas transmission pipelines, and its specifications are expressed by outer diameter * wall thickness. Spiral pipes are single-side welded and double-side welded. The welded pipes shall ensure that the hydrostatic test, tensile strength and cold bending performance of the weld meet the requirements.

Feature	Straight seam welded pipe production process is simple, high production efficiency, low cost, rapid development. The strength of the spiral welded pipe is generally higher than that of the straight seam welded pipe, and the welded pipe with larger diameter can be produced with a narrower blank, and the welded pipe with different diameter can also be produced with a blank of the same width. But compared with the straight seam pipe of the same length, the weld length increases by 30~100%, and the production speed is lower. Therefore, small diameter welded pipe mostly use straight seam welding, large diameter welded pipe mostly use spiral welding
